Lacuna Coil perd l’un de ses guitaristes et son batteur

Lundi dernier, j’ai appris une triste nouvelle qui me plonge dans un état mmmh… mélancolique (on ne va pas dire dépressif, faut pas déconner quand même !).
Les « Cris » quittent Lacuna Coil. Olaaaah ! Pas tous les « Cris » puisque Cristina Scabbia la chanteuse, elle, reste (et heureusement ! Il ne manquerait plus que ça ! ).
J’ai culpabilisé un peu parce que deux semaines auparavant, je me faisais la réflexion suivante :

Du coup, je me dis que l’univers m’a entendue et a décidé de réparer un petit oubli. C’est ma graaande faaaaute !  :*(

Bref, Cristiano « Pizza » Migliore, l’un des deux guitaristes et Cristiano « CriZ » Mozzati, le batteur, ont annoncé le 14 février dernier qu’ils quittaient « la famille » qu’ils avaient intégré en 1998.

Alors, soit ils ont de bonnes raisons pour ça comme ils l’ont expliqué ; mais ça fait bizarre de savoir qu’après 7 albums et 16 ans à bercer mes oreilles, ils ne feront désormais plus partie de l’aventure. La bonne nouvelle c’est que ces départs se font avec l’assentiment du reste du groupe avec qui ils restent en bon terme, comme l’expliquait Cristina sur sa page Facebook :

I know it feels weird the fact that we chose Valentine’s day to release the news that Chris “Pizza” Migliore and Cristiano “Criz” Mozzati decided to leave the Lacuna coil family.

But it ALL makes sense when at the base of this choice there is still a huge amount of love.

Love for us 6 as a strong group of good friends, love for what we have been able to achieve in so many years together.
Love for Lacuna coil.

I believe this being THE most friendly split (I cannot even call it so, cause it sounds bad) happened to a band.
Not a fight, no ego problems, no anger: a decision taken in the most serene way from Criz and Pizza and fully accepted from the rest of LC.

No, you will not read any angry articles on Blabbermouth, sorry  🙂  )

We know we left some of you heartbroken with the news and surely Andi, Maki, Maus and I are gonna MISS THE HELL out of our brothers (even though we will still see each other off stage  😀  ))!!) , but don’t take this all as a sad news because Criz and Pizza are serene in their decisions and the rest of us are absolutely, completely, totally determined to bring you guys the most sincere and great album we did so far, “Broken Crown Halo”, and keep the LACUNA COIL LEGACY going.

Are you ready? We definitely are and have NO intention to stop.

NOTHING STANDS IN OUR WAY.

Marco « Maus » Biazzi, l’autre guitariste ajoute qu’il n’y aura plus de second guitariste dans le groupe. Je trouve ça un peu dommage parce que même si j’adore Dark Adrenaline, ça aurait été l’occasion pour le groupe de renouveler leur ADN avec un peu de sang neuf. Peut-être que le prochain batteur suffira à faire l’affaire.
S’il y a un prochain batteur, ce qui ne semble pas si évident d’après l’interview donnée par Miss Scabbia à Metal Hammer :

“We are going to do the [US] tour,” she continues. “I’m telling you because we are going to give the statement tomorrow but I guess the interview will come out later – the drums will be played by Ryan Folden who played with us for the last year while Christ[iano Mozzati] was at home growing up his kid. And for guitar we are going on with Marco only and then we will decide. I posted the news yesterday and I got 25 private messages in half an hour from people that wanted to do auditions. But we’re not doing any auditions. It’s too early to think about replacements and we don’t even know if we want that. We might work with session musicians for a while, because even if we are serene and happy, it’s hard for us because we lost two brothers, so we don’t want anyone to come into the family just like that. It would be wise I think just to go on with us four and then move on with friends like Ryan, who is a great drummer and very easy to get to with. And that’s an important factor because if you’re going to share a tourbus with people, you have to be able to get on with them!”

Car même si, d’après mon lecteur mp3 j’en suis à la quarantième (c’est grave docteur ?) écoute de l’un de leur nouveau single « I forgive (but I won’t forget your name)« , je suis de moins en moins convaincue par ce que pourrait être le contenu de Broken Crown Halo… Verdict définitif début avril !

En attendant, le clip du-dit single pourrait bien avoir une esthétique assez éloignée de ce que laissait présager les dernières photos du groupe, si l’on se base sur l’un des dernier messages en date partagé par Crisitna…

Bien que la sortie de l’album soit prévue pour le 31 mars, nos voisins Italiens ont eu la primeur de l’écoute en radio du single I forgive et se sont empressé de la partager avec les autres fans !
